This is the "Valley of the Kings," where over 62 tombs of kings that have been discovered. Cameras are not allowed in this area so the photos on this page are ones that I have collected off the internet and represent the sites I went to. The sites that I visited where Tutankhamun (site #62), Ramses II (Site #7), Ramses IX (Site #6) and Ramses III (#11) which is the biggest tomb and was opened in November 2009. The Theban Mapping Project  is mapping all of the tombs in the "Valley of the Kings," go to their site for details on all of the tombs. Below is just a sample of the information available on their site.
